What We Do
Comprehensive groundworks and civil engineering solutions for domestic and commercial projects across Norwich.
Why Choose KiKK
Norwich's ground is not uniform. Sandy fill in Sprowston and Thorpe St Andrew, heavy clay along the Yare valley, made ground throughout the city centre and Victorian brickwork where you least expect it. KiKK has worked across all of it. Kallan Martin founded KiKK after a decade on Norwich construction sites, building a company around one principle: the person who quotes your job turns up on your site, every day, until it's done.
Kallan Martin is physically present on every Norwich project from the first dig to the final inspection. No remote management decisions made on the ground, by the person who knows your job.
One of very few groundworks contractors in Norwich to hold NRSWA accreditation. Utility connections and highway works handled under one contract no separate streetworks contractor needed.
Norwich soils vary sandy fill in Sprowston, clay in Thorpe St Andrew, made ground in the city centre. When we find something unexpected, we stop and call you before doing anything else.
Every Norwich project gets a written, itemised quote before work begins. If ground conditions change the scope, we tell you immediately and agree any additional cost before we proceed.

Common Questions
Straight answers to the questions we hear most from homeowners and developers across Norfolk and Norwich.
Costs vary by project type. House extension foundations typically run £2,500–£6,000 depending on depth and soil conditions. Drainage installations range from £800–£3,500. Driveways start from around £1,500 for tarmac and £3,000+ for resin bound. KiKK provides free, itemised written quotes — call 01603 381016.
Not usually. Driveways under 5 square metres, or larger driveways using permeable surfaces like resin bound, do not require planning permission in Norwich. If your property is in a conservation area or is listed, different rules apply. KiKK assesses this on every quote visit and handles any necessary queries with Norwich City Council directly.
NRSWA stands for New Roads and Street Works Act. It is a legal requirement for anyone working on or near public highways — including laying driveways that cross pavements, installing utilities ducting, or connecting drainage to the public sewer. Kallan Martin holds full NRSWA accreditation, meaning KiKK can legally and safely carry out street works across Norfolk without needing to subcontract.
Most domestic foundation projects take 2–5 days. Drainage installations typically take 1–3 days. Driveways take 2–4 days depending on size and surface type. Commercial or civil engineering projects are scoped individually. KiKK provides a realistic timeline at the quote stage — not an optimistic estimate that slips.
KiKK covers the whole of Norfolk including Norwich, Great Yarmouth, Wymondham, King's Lynn, Dereham, Attleborough, Cromer, Fakenham, North Walsham and surrounding villages. There is no extra travel charge for most Norfolk locations. Call 01603 381016 to confirm coverage for your specific postcode.
Yes. KiKK carries full public liability insurance covering all domestic and commercial groundworks projects across Norfolk. Details are provided on request. Kallan is also NRSWA accredited and manages every project personally — no subcontracting of key structural work.
